Our vision: custom metal powders for innovative additve manufacturing and coating applications
To fully realize the potential of today’s advanced technologies, such as additive manufacturing (AM) and coating, cutting-edge, custom-engineered feedstock materials are of critical importance. We focus on the development and production of powders with tailored chemical compositions, precisely designed to meet the unique challenges and demands of modern production processes.
We bring your ideas to life through our VIGA process enabling us to offer the desired material in powder form. At the same time, we continuously expand our portfolio of innovative materials to empower new products and applications across AM and coating sectors.
Our technologies
Our system offers exceptional flexibility to individually adjust various process parameters, such as the gas-to-metal ratio (GMR), atomization temperature, and gas temperature, to meet customer-specific requirements. This flexibility is crucial for providing tailored solutions that meet specific customer demands.
VIGA process
Medium-size VIGA unit with a bottom-release crucible system and Close-Coupled Atomization (CCA) or Free-Fall Atomization (FFA) nozzle. Batch quantities starting from 30 kg up to over 1,000 kg
Sieving & Air classification
Adjustment of the application-specific target fraction (PSD) under inert conditions (Ar). Fractioning in the range of 0 to 150 µm
Laboratory
Estimation of chemical composition, particle size distribution, powder morphology, flowability, and density.
Meposad: our metal powder
Research and Development: We actively participate in R&D projects, working closely with our clients to develop innovative solutions and explore new materials.
Atomization Service:: If you need your alloy in powder form, we have the capability to make it happen. While we primarily work with pre-alloyed raw materials, we can also develop a customized alloying concept directly in the crucible for your project.
Wide Range of Alloys: We produce Fe-, Ni-, and Cu-based alloys, including experimental, highly-alloyed variants. This allows us to offer solutions for diverse applications in additive manufacturing and coating.
Challenging Alloys: With our expertise in manufacturing custom alloys like Raney Nickel (NiAl-based), high-nitrogen steels, as well as Fe- and Ni-based alloys with high-temperature precipitates (e.g., carbides, nitrides) and Al-containing steels, we meet even the most demanding material requirements.
